CEE students had the opportunity this week to network with 20 civil engineering companies at the Rutgers Engineering Civil and Environmental Engineering Career Expo. Organized by the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Rutgers chapter of Chi Epsilon, the national civil engineering honor society, participating companies included engineering firms, the Port Authorities of New York and New Jersey and Delaware, manufacturing companies, and construction firms.
CEE department chair, Nenad Gucunski, was enthusiastic about the strength of the corporations represented and that many returning alumni were part of the recruiting teams. “Our students leave Rutgers with a strong commitment to pay it forward, supporting those students coming up behind them,” he said. “It was great to see some familiar faces today and hear about the promising connections for employment or internships so many students were able to make.”
